Cognitive Neuroscientist/Psychopharmacologist
Cambridge Cognition is the developer of CANTAB cognitive testing systems which are extensively used in academic research institutions and the pharmaceutical industry. Our world class science is supported by more than 650 publications and continuing development working alongside leaders in the field of cognitive neuroscience.
CANTAB is used by the major pharmaceutical companies in the development of novel drugs to treat cognitive disorders such as dementia, ADHD, and schizophrenia. Due to the rapid expansion of our clinical trials business we are looking to recruit additional scientists to provide expert consultation on psychopharmacology and neuropsychology to our clients within the pharmaceutical industry.
We are looking for high calibre, self motivated scientists with experience in human cognitive assessment and a good understanding of psychopharmacology. The role will require extensive international travel, frequent public speaking, and an ability to consult at a peer-to-peer level with senior scientists in industry and academia. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent experience in psychopharmacology, cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology or a related field, and a good track record of publication, relative to their level of experience.
In addition to providing scientific guidance to internal and external project teams, you will also be encouraged to analyse existing CANTAB data and to seek opportunities to collaborate with academic and industry scientists, publishing papers and presenting this research at international conferences. It is possible to dedicate up to 20% of your time to pursue independent research under an academic affiliation.
You will need drive, adaptability, excellent communication skills and be results oriented to enjoy working in our fast-paced environment. This permanent position will have a global remit, but will be based initially in our Cambridge UK office. We offer excellent remuneration packages with a starting salary of around £35-50k, plus pension and healthcare benefits for post-doc level candidates; however we are also happy to consider applications from individuals who already have considerable experience in the field.

Data Co-ordinator
Due to the rapid expansion of our clinical trials business we are looking to expand our data management team to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our clients within the pharmaceutical industry.
Based in our Cambridge UK office, the successful candidate will be responsible for the co-ordination of all data management related tasks for nominated projects, supporting both data management and project management functions in order to process and deliver client data to the required quality and timelines.
The post holder will be responsible for the following data management related tasks:
* Review of study-specific data management documents.
* Co-ordination of transfer of CANTAB data from study sites to Cambridge Cognition Ltd. (CCL).
* Processing CANTAB data using in-house data management software.
* Performing data validation activities according to defined specifications.
* Generation and transfer of Client data output.
* Assisting with final QC and database finalisation activities.
* Maintaining study-specific Trial Master Files.
* Participating in Client and/or internal CCL audits, as required.
* Ensuring the integration, coordination and consistency of CCL processes for data management across multiple studies.
* Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the project management and software development teams.
We are looking for an organised, self-motivated, and committed individual, with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach. You should be a team player, but also have the ability to work with minimal supervision as required. You should possess excellent communication skills and be results oriented to enjoy working in our fast-paced environment. Previous data management experience within a clinical trial setting is desirable.
